Well Lord, today is Sofi’s birthday and I am sure you already know. We are having a hard time coping without her down here but I thought I would take a few minutes to help you plan her birthday celebration. At first I wasn’t sure if you had birthday parties in Heaven since you are in the “Eternal Now” and all that, then I remembered John’s description of all the noise, sounds and lights around the throne and figured maybe he just didn’t know to call it a party.
First, I don’t know if it’s another child’s birthday today but I don’t recommend you celebrate hers in the same galaxy with another kid. You see she was spoiled rotten while she was here and she is not used to anyone getting attention other than her. You might say that's “how we roll” when it came to her. We have given away a ton of stuff and in just two and a half years she accumulated two bedrooms worth of toys and things, one in my house and one in hers.
Whatever you do has to be extravagant and huge when it comes to her. Like her aunt “Titi-Set,” she thinks she is a star so remember to fling a few at her party. She doesn’t know the meaning of no; I told her that once and she started to cry. I wanted to change her “Caillou” (which she had been watching for 3 hours) to my JAG program and I never did that again.
As for music, you remember my DJ days? I know you do. Well, I mixed her some dance music- mostly House and Hip Hop, which she really enjoyed because she like to dance. She's a real good dancer, but again, she dances alone because she wants all eyes on her. She particularly likes “Lady Gaga” and I know how you feel about her, but she likes the beat so...maybe you could just “bleep“ what you don’t like.
For presents, I recommend she find anything you have up there about the Lion King, Jungle Book- especially some old tiger named Bagheera. I know you would expect her to like the Jaguars like her dad, but no, she is definitely a Miami Dolphin fan like her mom. Just ask her and she will sing the “Miami Dolphins are number 1” song, complete with dance. She also loves pictures; especially of herself. Maybe you can get her one of those super video cameras that are recording all we do down here. She would like that.
Lord, tell her we all love her and miss her greatly and remember, since there is no sadness up there, leave out all the times we spend crying down here. Remind her of the last day I played with her on the property and how she enjoyed throwing sticks in the water and watching them float away, like Pooh sticks. Tell her she floated away, but don’t mention to her she left a huge hole in all of our hearts. So Lord, since you know the pain we are in, could you please do something about that?
We named her Sophia which means the Wisdom of God and although I believe and trust you, I expect you manifest exactly what wisdom you meant in taking her with you in just two and a half years. I think her father gave her the middle name Vianne which means “alive” well she is very alive in my heart right now.
That’s it for now. I won’t be reminding you of these things again, since I know you don’t forget, and after a year in Heaven you will be captivated and mesmerized by her charm, wit and smile as we all were. I am glad computer letters don’t get stained with tears!
