Jacksonville Christian Social-MediaAs the Social Media Revolution amps up, and the choices increase as to what to click on, there are things you need to know about how to attract the cyberspace world.   It is very important for those who want to get the most out of their cyberspace experience and investment, to know how to post a status or tweet successfully. Posting a status or a tweet is simple, but being successful at it is an art. Here are 21 secrets to successful and effective status postings.

1. Post at different times of the day- Not everyone goes on the internet at the same time or the same day.

2. Ask a Question- Start a provocative and interesting discussion. People want to engage with you.

3. Use Keywords carefully- Think before you post, on Twitter; keywords are essential to the search option.

4. Know your audience- What is the makeup and the interest of those you want to reach?

5. Know your subject- If you are an expert, make sure you can back up what you say because other experts are also reading.

6. Care for others- don’t just spam- The strength of Social Media is that it is a  relationship based tool.

7. Stay in tune with what is going on- Learn the seasons of people's lives.  Read their posts.

8. Read, Read and Read (technology)- Things are changing so fast that what you knew six months ago is now history.

9. Redirect people to your website- Send people to your site. This is the #1 free traffic tool.

10. Post your titles on Google- Google Rankings now includes Social Media, so click on them and Google will crawl (read) them.

11. Enter to Give, then Receive- This goes to your agenda for posting – people avoid self-centered spammers.

12. Use Images/Pictures- We are living in a visual world- including videos and images is best.

13. Jump into popular conversations- Many eyes are already looking  at that post, so let them also see you also.

14. Remember people's birthdays- This is the #1 way to show you care and people will remember your thoughtfulness.

15. Check your spelling – An educated expert should not have spelling problems.

16. Respond to event invitations on Facebook – It shows you care and you are connected.

17. Don’t get in arguments or respond to critics- Others are reading what you say, so take it to the inbox (but beware of arguing with fools; some ne'er-do-wells will even post what you say in inbox right onto their page for all to see).

18. Don’t broadcast your invitations- Make sure people can respond from where they live; i.e. friends in Africa can't make your birthday party.

19. Don’t go friend or follower fishing- Make authentic friends so you do not post to the wind. Many people play a numbers game, which can lead to negativity.

20. Ask your close friends or business partners to engage in your posts- People enjoy activity and when they see action, they want to get involved.

21. Be faithful; all good things take time- Think of your posts as seeds of investment into people's lives. Be deligent and patient; your harvest is sure.
