Shame sexual sinOne of the things i'm most passionate about is creating safe spaces for people to be honest about their real stories. church is supposed to be the safest place on earth, the place where we can share the hardest parts of our lives and experience so that shame's power can be broken and God's healing can transform.

adulteryOk I said it. Yes I went there. God knows somebody needs to talk about it. We are losing the virginity, the innocence and the holiness of an entire generation to this age old disease. I won’t mention how many divorces in our 75% divorce rate for greater Jacksonville began right here. This is more than a teenage problem that will go away after you “sow your wild oats”.

HurtingThere is an old adage: “Hurt people hurt people.”

It is well known that those who have been emotionally damaged tend to inflict their hurt and pain on other people. For example, a large percentage of those who have been sexually abused become the abusers of others; those who suffered under an alcoholic parent often themselves cause their future family to suffer because of their drunken stupors.
