Patience is Trusting in God's Timing - Tara TravisOne morning as I was driving, I saw a billboard church sign that said "Patience is Trusting in God's Timing." These were exactly the words I needed to see. I have been waiting on God to deliver a promise he made me many years ago and I admittedly have been getting a little restless lately.

I know all of us are believing God to manifest His promises to us in some area or another of our lives. In an age when information can be found in an instant and food can be heated in seconds, waiting for anything can cause frustration.

RestIn the kingdom, there are no great men of God, just humble men whom God has chosen to use greatly. How do we know when we are humble? When God speaks, we tremble. He also said that, because of world conditions, men's hearts would fail "from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth"(Luke 21:26 NKJV). Not only would actual events generate worldwide fear, but the expectation of difficulties would cause men's hearts to fail.

Rule in midst of your enemiesTrue peace does not come from extreme indifference, nor does it originate from becoming so "spiritual" that you fail to notice the world around you. Peace is the fruit of being confident in God's love; it is born of the revelation that, regardless of the battle, "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). You are not self-assured, you are God-assured. The God of Peace Will Crush Satan
