One Step Closer to a Yes
“Unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a sudden good break can turn life around.” (Proverbs 13:12, The Msg Bible)My Pillars in the Middle of the Shaking
We are living in a time of great upheaval. All around us we can see even the steadiest and the strongest of people, places, and things we know being shaken. So what do we do about what we see and experience? What are we to think? How do we stand in the midst of all this? It is during these times when the winds of life blow against your beliefs and understandings that we discover that only what is unshakeable remains. What is left in the aftermath of a nightmarish storm, once the dust settles or the waters recede, is not rooted in education, knowledge or any type of human experience. The remains are supernatural. They are in the realm of the Spirit. They come from Divinity and therefore have no human explanation on earth.
God Will Guard Your Promise in Dark Times
Many people today feel overwhelmed by negative circumstances. But you can be sure the Lord has an amazing plan to carry you through.
Long ago God promised He would send the Messiah through the lineage of King David. Yet there was a time in Judah's history when the royal seed was almost snuffed out.
It happened during the oppressive reign of Queen Athaliah, a selfish woman who was so power-hungry that she killed her own grandchildren in an attempt to secure her position. The Bible says in 2 Kings 11:1-3
Time to Pull Off the Glasses
The spirit of rejection is no respecter of persons. Rejection is a universal experience that manifests itself to some degree in the life of every one of us.When we are dealing with rejection, it is hard to see the truth. It works like dark sunglasses that subtly, or significantly, color everything in our field of vision. We then respond to this filtered reality as if it were truth: No one understands me. No one sees me the way I want to be seen. People think I’m stupid. I know this person doesn’t like me. No one ever likes me. Why did I just say that? I never do anything right.
"I Do Not Remember"
How little we understand of eternal redemption! How many times will God forgive you? If you have truly set your heart to follow Him, He will cancel your sins as often as you ask. Will He forgive you of the worst sin you can think of? Yes! You may have to live with the consequences of your misdeed, but the redemptive power of God is such that, even in your sin, there are many things of value to be reclaimed. As for the sin itself, if you deeply and sincerely repent of it, not only will God forgive you, He will blot it out of His memory. Page 1 of 3
