FROM ACLJ---

(7/8/2010) As you read these words, we're preparing to file our critical amicus brief at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, DUE TODAY, in Freedom From Religion Foundation v. Obama, Case 10-1973 -

- representing nearly 70 Members of Congress and thousands of ACLJ members in the battle to preserve the National Day of Prayer ... a completely valid, time-honored tradition ruled UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Stand with the ACLJ to PROTECT PUBLIC PRAYER!  Your immediate gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar, its impact literally doubled, through the $450,000 Fight for Freedom Matching Challenge.

Please understand: the FIGHT FOR FREEDOM Matching Challenge is essential to our current case load - to help the ACLJ fight effectively in the strategic cases and issues before us right now:

  • We are opposing the barrage of legal challenges to Arizona's immigration law.  The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a federal lawsuit against Arizona.  The ACLJ will file briefs supporting the Arizona law in these new challenges.  Instead of wasting taxpayer funds on challenging Arizona's law, the Obama Administration should spend the money on securing America's borders.
  • Also, in Chamber of Commerce vs. Candelaria, Case 09-115, we are going to file an amicus brief with the Supreme Court of the United States in support of the Arizona law.
  • In Case 1:10-cv-00950, Mead v. Holder, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, we are suing the federal government directly to stop the health care takeover.
  • And much more!

Please give generously ... and let your gift be matched dollar-for-dollar through the $450,000 FIGHT FOR FREEDOM Matching Challenge!  Thank you!

“Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?” James 2:22
