It has been a long winter season for many of His servants in the last few years. Everywhere you go you hear of godly people existing under the weight of insurmountable odds. The test has been a hard one but God has tempered His chosen ones in the fires of adversity.
I hold on to this promise in 1 Peter 1:7-8
7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ NKJV
Like their Master they have withstood the jeers of scoffers as they were taunted with “Where is your God now”? Sometimes the words came from those closest to them cutting through the heart like a hot knife through butter. Yet they stood. Like Job’s wife many of the scoffers said “why don’t you just curse God and die!” Standing on the promises is not just a song it has been the only thing left to hold on to by many in the midst of such warfare.
Why? You say. I don’t know. Whether to finish the process of maturity or to burn out the sins that so easily beset us the enemy has been given permission. Someday I will know but today I remain with my questions. I am not God and I cannot understand the work of the Creator with His creation.
Like Paul I say;
Rom 9:20-21
But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, "Why have you made me like this?" 21 Does not the potter have power over the clay? NKJV
Facing the loss of all things is not easy. Some have suffered the loss material things and others have lost ministries, positions and even loved ones. In their weakness they have been made strong and in their poverty they have been made rich by the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills.
We who have been brought through the fire won’t be running to the nearby Mercedes dealer to flaunt our faith before those that still await their day like some did in the 1980’s. We will understand that the blessings of breakthrough are to be used for His Kingdom purposes and the nations of the world will shake as we take nation after nation in the name of
the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Song 6:10
10 Who is she who looks forth as the morning, Fair as the moon, Clear as the sun, Awesome as an army with banners?
I prophecy to you ”hold on for your deliverance is nigh (near)” I believe 2012 will usher in the beginning of the greatest deliverance for His New Jerusalem people since the days of Old Testament Israel. Why? you say. Because the Lord delights in His people, the blood of His Son screams for righteousness and we all know it is darkest just before sunrise.
Ps 85:9-12
9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. 10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. 11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.12 Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.
The Old Testament is full of praises as servants of the Lord experienced breakthroughs when God remembered them. It is a place of “Suddenlies” as God delivers His people from those that were oppressing them and difficult situations where faith is hanging on by just a sliver of hope.
Here are just a few of the times God has remembered His people;
Gen 8:1Then God remembered Noah
Gen 19:29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham
Gen 30:22 Then God remembered Rachel
Gen 41:14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon
Ex 2:24 So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
1 Sam 1:19 And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her
Ps 105:42 For He remembered His holy promise, And Abraham His servant.
Zechariah the father of John the Baptist, Simeon the intercessor and Mary the mother of the Lord Jesus all sang His praises in the New Testament.
How can we not sing today when the breakthrough arrives in our life? In an instant shame and despair will melt away before the mighty arm of the Lord. One minute you will feel like you have been forgotten and the next minute Heaven will breakthrough with your long awaited answer. Oh..for the glories of deliverance! Oh.. for the power of His mighty arm to save!
Ex 14:13-14
13 And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.
2 Chron 20:17
You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!' Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you."
Will you join me in believing!
